The DSO concert on the 29th November , 2025, promises to be a really special one and features the extremely talented violinist, Lynda O'Connor, playing Mendelssohn's Violin concerto. Of course the version to your left is just a digital mock up but gives you an idea of the complexity and beauty of the piece. The metronome is for practicing musicians.
Another piece for the program is Bethuné, a work by Paul Tobin (one of our bassist's) and is a three- movement arrangement of which the first two movements for piano and orchestra will be performed. Bethuné is dedicated to Paul's maternal grandfather killed in WW1 in Bethuné. This is the first movement.
Also featured in the concert is Dvorak's 8th symphony.
